Inside the Breach: A Live Hacking Experience for GDPR Lawyers

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This unique workshop bridges the gap between law and technology. Privacy lawyers will not only study GDPR and data breach regulations, but also step into the hacker’s role. Participants will actively simulate a cyber incident, create their own “data breach,” and then work through the complete legal and technical response process. By experiencing both sides of the story, legal professionals gain a deeper understanding of the risks, obligations, and strategies that matter when a real incident occurs.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

• Understand the fundamentals of privacy, GDPR, and incident response.

• Experience a live hacking session: simulate and execute a data breach yourself.

• Learn to recognize when an event becomes a reportable data breach.

• Practice completing the Dutch Data Protection Authority (AP) notification form.

• Identify which laws and regulations apply in different breach scenarios.

• Apply 5 key legal strategies to prepare your organization for future incidents.

• Gain hands-on insights into the interaction between technical breaches and legal compliance.

CERTIFICATION

Participants who successfully complete the training will receive a Certificate of Completion: GDPR Incident Response & Ethical Hacking for Legal Professionals, issued by Black Swan Training Center. This certificate demonstrates both technical awareness and legal expertise in handling data breaches.
